NEW AND IMPROVED FOR 2012
One of the most powerful ministries we have in our church is our Benevolence Ministry Team. This group headed by Rean Wessels, meets frequently in response to the dozens of requests that come in each year. This past year they distributed almost $20,000 to people both in our church and community. Beyond this they also have maintained a storage unit where people can get used furniture and appliances for their homes. If you have need of furniture/appliances or have some to donate, please contact Rean at 275-6584 or Bob Keough at 290-1320. We will have a Benevolence offering on Sunday, February, 5th. If you would like to donate to this ministry.
In addition in 2012 the 234 Motorcycle Ministry is repairing used bicycles and recycling them to kids who need them. If you have an old bike or trike to donate, please take it to Action Motorsports 923 Zerr Road or call Bob Baker at 272-1892. This team prepared many bikes during Christmas for Kids and want to now share their talents so that kids don’t have to wait for December to get a bike.
The Adult Education Team also wanted to help provide benevolence to those in need. They have opened up a “Clothes Closet” in the South Campus for people to come and get free clothing for their families. Please stop by and check out the clothes in the “Closet” in the room formerly known as the Library. The room will be open on Sundays and on request during the week. A huge thank you to these two ministries as they share unique ways of providing benevolence to those in our area.
